Last Tuesday, we decided to go to Seafood City and Chowking in Westfield Southcenter. For those of you who doesn't know yet, Westfield Southcenter is in Seattle, Washington. Men, that place was packed with people. There were big lines everywhere! After lunch, we decided to stroll in the mall. While I was busy in XXI, the husband was also busy checking out some of men's polo shirts in his favorite store but left since there was a big crowd. He didn't want to wait that long and fall in line for an hour or so. Yeah, he's very spoiled...

People have been saying that this year won’t be as bad as the previous one. Dubbed as the Year of Thaw, 2009 was full of economic challenges and roadblocks. In this day and age, make up has become an essential facet of every woman's life. A recent Philippine study showed an alarming increase in the number of infections involving the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), in the country. The results of the study showed that as of November 2009, there were already 1,244 reported cases of HIV infections in the Philippines. However, what is more alarming is the fact that the figure represents only reported cases, and excludes an estimated 66 percent of HIV cases, which have remained unreported, and consequently, unaccounted for. This shocking truth only goes to show that there is a serious need to institutionalize efficient std testing system so that Philippine HIV cases can be monitored and addressed appropriately and immediately. The failure to account and monitor HIV patients may be addressed by same day std testing or herpes testing procedures that should be implemented regularly by health organizations and even employers nationwide. Once in place, these testing procedures are the best chance the Philippines has to avoid a nationwide explosion of HIV infection, stigma and discrimination. It is a sad, but true reality that cars get stolen everyday. Planning a family vacation in Europe? Like most people, my ultimate dream is to travel to Europe with the whole family. I know you probably heard it already but dear hubby and I are in the process of buying our own piece of land in the Philippines. My sister has been telling me about her neighbor who owned a subdivision lot and sold it at a very reasonable price. Honestly, I was quite excited about it but the husband was skeptical as we had not seen the location. So when we visited last month, we decided to visit my sister’s house and I fell in love with the location. The location is not too far from the city. In fact, there are business establishments, malls and wet markets just a short ride away from the location. What I like about it is that the location is not crowded so it is very quite and peaceful. Even dear hubby likes it, considering he is so picky when it comes to stuff like this. For those of you who don't know this yet, dear hubby and I are planning to build a vacation house over there. Finding custom house plans for our vacation house is always on my list of things to do. Finally watched the Toy Story 3 movie trailer on Youtube. Casts include Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Jodi Benson, Michael Keaton, Joan Cusack, and many more. When dear daughter saw the trailer, she kept asking me if she can watch it on DVD. I told her she should ask her daddy instead. After all, he's the boss! Anyway, I am planning to add the movie in the queue later.

The whole family went to Bremerton, Washington yesterday. We spent the entire day driving around the city. After that, we went straight to Ranch 99 Market in Edmonds, Washington and bought some fish. I've been craving for grilled fish so I decided to cook Grilled Pompano with Lime for dinner. Yummy!

Grilled Pompano with Lime Recipe

Ingredients:
4 to 5 pieces pompano fillets
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
1/24 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 limes, halved
2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Directions:
1. Rub the fillets with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Grill the fillets skin-side up over a medium-hot fire for 3 to 4 minutes. Flip them and cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until the fish is done.
3. Remove the fillets from the fire, drizzle them with the olive oil, squeeze a half lime over each, and sprinkle them with the parsley.

When I watched Korean drama "Take Care of The Young Lady" also known as The Lady Castle starring Yoon Eun Hye, I fell in love with her more. Aside from being a good Korean actress, she dressed very neatly and knows how to carry herself well. I found out Forever21 was one of her major sponsor.
