Trying out a new health and fitness regimen has always been on top of most people’s New Year’s resolutions when a new year begins. Those who have realized that they have practicing the wrong health habits are now finding out ways on how they can correct or eliminate them. Unfortunately, some of them fail early because they do not have the support they need to pursue their goal.
Cafe Well is a social media site that aims to provide a way for people to connect with those who have the same health needs and interests. It is a safe and anonymous health care destination where people can give support, share tips and discuss whatever health concerns they may have. Café Well and Health America has launched a new fitness program called Race to the Moon. Select Health America members are eligible to participate. They are given a free pedometer which they can use when they participate in a variety of fun and exciting wellness activities with family members, friends and co-workers. Each activity is also an opportunity for participants to win a variety of prizes including special discounts and offers. If I would create my own health challenge, I would develop one that would require participants to develop healthy food choices. This would be ideal for work-at-home parents like me, since I know how challenging it is to find the time to prepare nutritious home-cooked meals since we are also busy with so many pending tasks. Because of this, we would always end up eating unhealthy foods that are readily available. I am hoping that through this healthy food choices challenge, people will realize the importance of making healthy food choices. Labels: Blogging, Internet |
