When you are feeling anxious, remember to breathe. Allow yourself to breathe in and out slowly. Allow your breath to bring you to a place of calmness. Allow yourself to be calm like the eye in the center of the storm.

Listen to the words, and you can be fooled. Look at the actions, and you can be fooled. Feel deeply into your heart, and then you will know the truth. It's your heart that knows who loves you, not your ears or eyes. Who makes your heart soar now? Well, what are you waiting for?

When you feel down, look at yourself through God's eyes. There are times when no matter how hard you try, you just cannot accept yourself as you are. During such times, think of how you look to God's eyes. In God's eyes, there is no judgment, there is only acceptance. God sees your light when all that you can see are your shadows. God loves you more than anyone could ever love you as you really are.

You may think you have challenges, but you have so many blessings. Sometimes it takes only a moment of conscious effort to recognize those blessings. Once you focus on the gifts instead of the problems, your whole perspective will change and you will see blessings everywhere.

I guess I have to remind myself na kailangan ko ring magpahinga every once in awhile! Give myself permission to be un-busy. Give myself an hour or a day to simply be. Allow myself the luxury of a small retreat. Allow my spirit time to be restored. Even God took a day of rest.

It has been another busy day for me here at home. I felt really blessed. Work online has been pretty good these past few months. Can't thank enough for those who believe in me and most especially to God because everything is possible with God. Without him, all of these probably never happened. Thank you for all the blessings you've been given me all these time. Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Some of you probably noticed I've been quite in here for almost a week now. Well, there's too much going on lately outside the blogging world that I need to prioritize first. Besides, I'm too lazy and felt like still in a vacation mode. Anyway, I just want to let you know that I'm still here alive and kickin!

Another busy day for me here at home. The kids are a lot better now compared last week. They're still coughing every once in a while but no more fever. Thank goodness. I was really busy these past few days. We will be gone for almost a month so I have to clean the house before we leave. I haven't pack my stuff yet. There are only nine (9) days to go before our trip abroad. Gosh, thinking about it make me more excited about our upcoming trip! I can't wait to see my family! It's been eight (8) long years since the last time I saw them.

Last Sunday, I found out my cousin and Ninang Batuan town Mayor Gregoria "Goring" Pepito was rushed to the hospital on Thursday, April 1 due to a heart attack. She was later transferred to Chongwa Hospital in Cebu City. She's been in a coma since Thursday. My sister and cousins, along with their co-workers went to Cebu yesterday to visit her and they found out Ninang is in a critical condition. The doctors tried their best to save her but to no avail. I received another text message from my sister to let me know Ninang passed away today. I was sad and couldn't stop crying. She never have the chance to meet the kids, ever. It's so sad but I'm sure she's happy in God's hand right now. She will always be remember as a sweet, kind and loving person to all. My family would like to extend our deepest condolence to the Pepito, Tiongson, and Dampog family. May her soul rest in peace.

I found out two of our friends are filing for divorce for the very same reason. Their wives are cheating! Gosh, I can't believe why they did it. As a Christian, I know it is a sin and besides, it is shameful too. Anyway, the first couple have been married for 15 years while the second couple have been married for 3 or 4 years. I was sad when I learned about what happened to them. But I guess it is better than living with someone you can't trust!

What a beautiful sunny day today! Mr. sunshine is here! It's been days since the last time I see the sun. That's Washington for you! I hope it will be like this for the rest of the week. But I doubt it. Anyway, might as well enjoy the day while it last.

I've been awake since 2:00 o'clock in the morning, awaken by a really loud noise outside. I heard a loud banging from our neighbor's door and I had no idea what it was. It scared the heck out of me. I tried going back to sleep but I'm a little paranoid, what if there's someone out there waiting for a chance to get in or whatsoever. My eyes were hurting but I'll wait until the sun is up before going back to bed.

Dear hubby got a 15 day Christmas vacation from work. That means, I'll be busy in the next few days and probably don't spend much time in front of my computer. He doesn't like being at home all day without doing anything. He gets restless and he want to do something. So we probably go out most of the time. But I'll try to drop by as soon as I can. Like most people, I love to get things as cheaply as possible. You might think I'm cheap but I live for sales. It's partially because I like to save money, but it's also because I like the thrill of finding a fabulous deal.

Of all the types, I tend to shop frequently but rarely by and keep an eye on prices.
I know brand names are important for some people but they are not that important to me. I know how to have style without collecting designer tags.
