MM: Random |
What was the first thing you thought when you looked at yourself in the mirror today? I looks so tired and sleepy. I didn't get enough sleep last night. Well, it was my own fault though. I stayed up late because I watched Korean dramas online.
Do you have a recurring nightmare? If so, explain. Not that I know of. I dream once in a while but it's pretty much random.
List three foods you can’t stand. Well, I can't stand the smell of beef. I don't know but it just makes me throw up :( My Aunt and younger sister don't eat beef meat as well. So it might be genetic...who knows! I eat seafood except shells because I'm allergic to it. Labels: Fun Stuff, Manic Monday |

Family Movie Night: All Roads Lead Home |
Dear hubby and I love watching movies together. We rarely watch movies in theaters because we can't leave our kids at home. I don't know about others, but I'm not really happy leaving my kids with someone or a babysitter. I just miss them. It's probably because we're so close and spend time all day long. Anyway, speaking of movies, we basically choose what movies to watch, like family oriented, no violence, family-oriented, and has value. I love watching something that I want to be able to share with my children as they grow up. Speaking of movies, did you guys saw the preview trailer of the movie entitled All Roads Lead Home The Movie? This movie is perfect for the whole family. It is based on a true story about a girl who loses her mother in a tragic accident. Her father struggles with the loss of his wife and trying to raise his young daughter who believes her father is partly responsible for her mother's death. It is through Belle's new puppy who will change her life and the lives of those who love her that will bring everyone back together. It's a journey that starts and ends at the same place, yet must be traveled before healing can begin. It looks like a beautiful movie. I can't wait to watch this movie with my family :)

Winter Snow Storms |
It started snowing last December 13th and by December 14th, Sunday midnight, the first snow storm hit the area. I-90 highway was closed twice during that day because of the avalanche warnings. Then, it kept snowing on and on with matching snow storms on the side as well. We had 4 snow storms since December 14th. As of today, we had about 16 inches of snow and keeps building up. Dear hubby spent most of the days shoveling the snow in our driveway. Poor hubby. I really wanted to help him but I had so stay inside the house to watch the kids. Gosh, I can't stand it. We're stuck in the house since then! We can't go anywhere since the road was still full of snow and still very slippery.
Anyway, I took some pictures while we're having fun in the snow while LLJ was asleep. Can't bring him outside since he wasn't feeling well.

Four Foods On Friday: Embutido |
Does your family usually eat meals in the kitchen or somewhere else? We normally eat in the kitchen. I don't like eating somewhere else in the house.
Who usually does the dishes in your house? Both. Sometimes, dear hubby do the dishes if I'm busy doing other things.
What’s your favorite small appliance or tool in the kitchen? Pot, plates, bowl, luwag! LOL...
Dear hubby likes Embutido so much so I'm planning to cook it for him.
Ingredients: 75 to 100 g. leaf lard or sinsal, cleaned and drained 1 piece white gulaman bar, finely shredded 1/2 kg. lean ground pork 1/2 cup chopped Vienna sausage 1/2 cup chopped chorizo de bilbao, (approx. 60g.), 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese 3 tbsp. raisins 2 tsp. finely crushed garlic 1/4 cup pickle relish 3 tbsp. chopped red onions 1/4 cup chopped pimientos 2 tbsp. chopped carrots 2 tbsp. MAGGI Chili Sauce 2 tsp. MAGGI Savor 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper 3 pieces eggs 1/4 cup CARNATION Evap strings to tie ends of embutido
Broth 1 tbsp. cooking oil 1 tsp. crushed garlic 1/3 cup chopped red onions 1 piece MAGGI Pork Broth Cube, dissolved in 2 cups water 1 tsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. MAGGI Savor 2 tsp. butter 1 piece bay leaf 2 tbsp. cornstarch, dispersed in 2 tbsp. water
Directions: 1. Divide sinsal into 4 pieces and spread out in a tray. Set aside. 2. Soak finely shredded gulaman bar in water until soft; drain. Set aside. 3. Combine all the ingredients and the soft gulaman shreds. Mix thoroughly. 4. Put around 1 1/2 to 2 cups of mixture on each sinsal; form into a log and wrap with the sinsal. 5. Tie both ends with string to secure. Set aside. 6. To make the broth: Heat oil and sauté garlic and onions until limp. 7. Pour in broth, vinegar, MAGGI Savor, butter and bay leaf; let boil without stirring to avoid the raw taste of vinegar. 8. Lower Embutido into the simmering broth and cook over low fire for 25 minutes. 9. Remove embutido from broth and cool before slicing. 10. To make gravy, strain broth and thicken the soup stock with cornstarch. Serve with the sliced Embutido. Labels: Four Foods On Friday, Fun Stuff, Recipes |

Sa Araw Ng Pasko (The Day Of Christmas) |
I've been living here in the US for over six years now and all I can say is that, walang katulad ang Pasko sa atin. Talagang hahanap-hanapin mo :) Even though I'm here in the US, Paskong Pinoy pa rin sa aking puso! The song Sa Araw Ng Pasko really makes me sad during Christmas time. I can totally relate to the song. I wanna go home!
Merry Christmas to all!Labels: Uncategorized |

Affordable Dining Room Furniture |
It’s been a while since I wanted to get a new set of dining room furniture. I found a great site where they offer high quality and affordable dining room furniture, desks, bookshelves, cupboard and dressers. They also have conversatory furniture at lowest price. I love their Malang extending dining table which allows the table to extend. Although, Malang dining table is available in two sizes only. The standard which extends from 150cm to 210cm and the large which extends from 200cm to 300cm. They also have Malang writing desk or dressing table which is perfect for a smaller office or for use as a dressing table. The Malang desk features a dark finish, a curved magistrate style front detail and two small drawers. What I like about it is that, they have stylish dining tables, desks, conversatory tables that will fit any style of room. Not only that, you can also choose from any of their range of dining room furniture for the style and size that suits your home and budget. I already talked to my dear hubby about these beautiful products and still waiting for his approval. Actually, I’m not planning to buy it right now since there are other things that we need to prioritize other than material things. But hopefully we can buy one as soon as possible.Labels: Blogging |

The Best And The Worst |
What was the best thing that happened to you this week? Best thing? Dear hubby got a 2 week (paid) day-off! That means he can spend quality time with the family. Hooray :-)
What was the worst thing that happened this week? When we found out Mom got herself into a car accident. She hit her car into a stop sign. We're so glad she's okay.
Describe an item of clothing that has definitely seen better days but that you refuse to dispose of and still wear. Why won't you toss it? My pajamas. I owned it when I was 25 years old. I just loved it.
Have you ever lied about your age? Of course not. Every time someone asked my name, I told them about my age and they didn't believe me. Last May, we went to Emerald Queen casino in Tacoma, WA to watch Lonestar concert and the guard won't let me in! I had to show him my ID. Gosh!
Would you rather be behind the scenes or in the spotlight? Behind the scene.
Where was your first out-of-country trip? How was it? It was in Japan! Then, next stop, USA :)
Do you like surprises? If yes what kinds? If no, why not? I do. Dear hubby like surprises! He's very sweet :)
Have you ever had sex with two different people on the same day? Oh my goodness! How would I be? I only have one husband! LOL...
Which do you prefer, the sunrise or the sunset? Both.
Alright, that's it for today. I better go and check out this online degree programs before going to the mall with the whole family. Have a great day everyone Labels: Fun Stuff, Saturday 9 |

Two weeks ago, we went to my cousin's house in Spanaway, Washington and I noticed that her kitchen's floor was different from the last time we were there. She changed it into wood flooring. She hired professional wood flooring specialist. I guess they did a fantastic job! She even told me where to purchase beautiful hardwood flooring products at extraordinary savings. Weight Watchers |
1. Are you happy with how much you weigh? Why or Why not? * I had a hard time dealing with it. I've been petite my whole life and wanted to gain weight but it didn't happen. When I was pregnant with our first child, I gained 30 lbs but it went away after giving birth.
2. Have you ever been at a weight you are happy with? * I'm 97 lbs right now...you can blame it on my fast metabolism.
3. Are you currently on a diet now? If yes, describe. * No, I eat whatever I want but still petite.
4. What is the craziest thing you have ever done to lose weight? * Nothing. I have a hard time gaining weight so there's no need for it.
5. What is your favorite thing about your body? * My eyes and lips.
6. What is your least favorite thing about your body? * My arms and thighs. They're so small. I've been complaining about it and dear hubby told me I should go to the gym and do weight lifting. LOL...
Okay, that's all for now. I better go and check out some car insurance quotes online. We're in the process of getting a car insurance for our new van. Labels: Fun Stuff |
