Latest Update |
Dear hubby's niece Camille called him up at work and informed him that his father had a heart attack yesterday. So dear hubby decided to take a week off so we can go and visit him. We decided to drive down to Reno, then to Carson City, Nevada to visit him. We left our place at around 10:30 in the morning. We just arrived here in Eugene, Oregon a few minutes ago. We couldn't find any hotels near the freeway other than Days Inn. Days In is only a 3 minute drive from the freeway. While typing this, the kids are busy playing their toys, while dear hubby went to the restaurant nearby to get our food. We still don't have any recent update of my father-in-law so please keep us all in your prayers.
That's all for now. Have a great evening! Labels: Uncategorized |

I heard that some country like Guam is in need of electricians, even women are welcome. As long as you graduated from one of those electrical schools and took electrical courses. Many graduates now from other courses decided pursue their expertise into electrical matters. Some people can’t use their course into the right field, especially if you’re a degree holder.
But for those who are looking for the right electrical school, where you can find the complete lists of courses offered. This is the right place for you and they guaranteed the certified electrician certification after finishing the course you choose. This will be your passport for reaching your goal for a greener pasture. Learn & Earn right here at Rosedale Technical Institute with complete hands-on and actual application.

Comcast Digital Cable And The Filipino Channel (TFC) |
Few days ago, Comcast announced that they're going to discontinue analog channels and will switch to digital tv and the cheapest digital package starts at $56/month. According to Comcast, you don't have to buy a Digital TV to receive Comcast digital cable. With Comcast Digital Cable you will receive a Digital Cable box that modifies the incoming Digital signal so that it can be viewed with your current TV. With Comcast Digital Cable you will be able to enjoy extended service from your current television, without having to buy a Digital TV.
Next month, Comcast will discontinue analog channels so dear hubby called Comcast this afternoon and the representative will come to set up the digital cable box on April 5th. The Digital cable tv will cost $56 while the Filipino Channel will cost $12.00. So we have to pay $68 per month for digital cable tv and The Filipino Channel or TFC. It may sounds a lot but what can we do? Our daughter Lilly showed an interest in learning Tagalog language so that's also one of the reason why we decided to subscribe to The Filipino Channel :) I can't really wait to watch TFC shows :)

Free Hotel Night |
Three years ago, we went to visit my mother-in-law in Reno, Nevada. I still remember what happened that night. We were already in the plane when the flight attendant said there was some minor issues and they're trying to fix it. We waited for about 4 hours but nothing happened. Then they finally said the engine won't start or run. So they canceled the flight for the night and the airline company gave us a free hotel night in Hilton Hotel, Reno, Nevada. I thanked God it happened before the plane left the airport. Labels: Blogging, Travel, Vacation |

For The First Time Movie (2008) | Watch For The First Time Movie Online For Free |
I just finished watching For The First Time movie online. For the First Time is a 2008 Filipino romantic film produced by Star Cinema. It stars Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion. The film was shot in the Philippines and in Santorini, Greece. "For the First Time” follows the lives of two teenagers from very different worlds. Seth (Richard Gutierrez) is a rich, impulsive playboy who runs away from serious relationships and doesn’t give much thought to the women he goes out with, and Pia (KC Concepcion), a prude, ambitious girl who feels responsible for the tragedy she once encountered, and with a scar to constantly remind her about this unfortunate experience. But when the two accidentally meet in Santorini, their differences did not stop them from spending one unforgettable summer together—that is until Seth runs away again, scared of the very unusual feeling that is happening within him. You can view the source here.
Here is the preview trailer of the 2008 movie For The First Time starring KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez. For The First Time movie was shown in the Philipppines on August 27, 2008.

Crispy Pata | Deep Fried Pork Leg |
It's been a while since we had Crispy Pata. I was craving for Pinoy food so I decided to cook Crispy Pata for dinner. Isn't it yummy?
Ingredients:
1 or 2 pork pata
2 tablespoon of salt
8 peppercorns (optional)
1 whole garlic
1 whole onion
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 bay leaf
3 to 4 cups of cooking oil
Directions:
1. Place the pata in a casserole and cover with water. Add the whole garlic, onion, peppercorns and bay leaf. Season with plenty of salt. Set over high heat and bring to a boil, skimming off scum as it rises. Lower the heat, cover and simmer for an hour to an hour and a half, or until tender.
2. Remove the pata from the broth. Drain well. Let it cool. If you have the time, wrap in foil of cling film and place in the freezer for thirty minutes.
3. Heat the cooking oil in a wok or deep fryer until it starts to smoke. Gently lower the pata in the hot oil. The oil will spatter, no doubt about that. It is best to immediately cover the wok or fryer. Make sure that the cover has a steam valve to allow the hot steam to escape and to prevent it from condensing back into the oil. Cook the pata until the rind is puffed and golden.
Tips: In step 3, instead of frying, I wrapped the pata in aluminum foil and put it in the oven at 350F to hour to an hour and a half or until crispy! It's less oily!Labels: Cooking, Food, Recipes |

Favorite And Memories |
1. What are your favorite kinds of plant life (plants, flowers, etc)? Why? I like orchids, roses, and dahlia. They're very pretty and last very long.
2. Do you associate any memories with certain things (flowers, objects, etc)? Any you'd care to share? I can associate any memories with orchids. My brother loves flowers. We had our backyard full of orchids and every time I see orchids, it reminds me of him.
3. By what method do you keep track of your memories (blogs, scrapbooks, etc)? If you don't do anything to preserve your memories, how do you keep track of them? Does it matter to you?
In keeping track of special memories, I still do it a traditional way. Although, I also use scrapbook (digital) as other way to preserve memories. I don't normally blog about our memories online as I'm not really comfortable about it.
That's it for now. I know someone and a parent of a child who had injuries during birth so I have to check out some information about cerebral palsy on her behalf. She might not even know if cerebral palsy is the cause of her baby's condition. Labels: 3x Thursday, Fun Stuff |

Wholesale TV On Sale |
Last Saturday, we went to see some houses in Arlington, Washington. We both like the place, but it was a little bit far from work. It might not be a good idea to move up there since the commute is terrible especially during rush hours. Right now, we live at least 8 miles away from work. Not, bad eh? Anyway, we stopped by at Circuit City on our way back from Arlington to look for wholesale tvs on sale, but we couldn't find any since the place was almost empty. Labels: Blogging |
