Nita's Random Thoughts

When I woke up today, dear hubby told me not to ever upload pictures from my phone online and turn off GPS as well. Like any father, he's not comfortable as well of posting our kid's photos on the internet, particularly in my blogs. According to the news report, pictures or photos you've e-mailed or uploaded from your smartphone or mobile phone could leak information which could threaten your safety or that of your kids. Pretty scary, isn't it?

Several years ago, I lost over a thousand of pictures, important files and documents and songs caused by computer virus infections. To be honest, I cried due to the fact I wasn't able to recover the majority of them. It absolutely was an eye opener in my opinion. Ever since then, I made the decision to backup anything onto CD/DVD. Then dear husband also bought an EHD to use.

The documents and data files may be lost as a result of human errors or formatting of hard drive. To be able to retrieve all those documents, you will have to have data and file recovery program in your computer in order to recover and restore the lost files in your computer. Often times, the lost file can be in the computer in case you have removed the file but this file is hidden. The file will always be there except if it's over-written by another program on your hard drive.

Dear hubby asked me if I've already seen the new iPad 2 yet. Of course I did. I'm one of those people who are looking forward to buy iPad. Yeah, I know. The iPad 2 is thinner, lighter and has a two cameras for FaceTime and HD video recording, and a 10-hour battery life. The all new thinner and lighter design makes surfing the web, checking email, watching movies, and reading books so amazing.

Now, your wait is over. You can buy iPad 2 from the Apple online store starting March 11 and get free shipping. Or you can also buy iPad 2 at your favorite electronic stores, nationwide. Source: Apple.com

Technology today is so amazing, we are moving ahead by leaps and bounds. One of the really great technological advances is GPS. We all know the benefits of GPS when we are lost. But imagine that today I could get a Gps tracking device that would tell me where my kids and the husband are at all times. I may sound a bit paranoid but I would like to have just such a device. When it comes to my love ones I just would love to know where they are. If I can't be with them 24 hours a day at least I would know where they are. It would just give me so much peace of mind. I am wondering what the husband would think of this idea? There is a company bluewatersecurityprofessionals.comthat sells a variety of security tracking devices for individuals and for corporations and you choose the product that will best meet your requirements. Some of the units are very small, and would not be the least bit cumbersome or difficult to have with you. GPS tracking is just such a great tool. Just think if you have a family member who had Alzheimers who had a tendency to wander, this would help you find them quickly. Another feature of GPS tracking is geo fencing, where you set up an area where the person is allowed to be, but once they go outside that area you would be alerted. This would work great with an Alzheimers patient as well. For corporations GPS tracking devices can be used to keep track of where company vehicles are. They can also be used to monitor things like vehicle speed and so forth to ensure the company vehicle is being driven in a safe manner that complies with regulated speed limits. There are just so many ways GPS tracking devices can be used to provide peace of mind to individuals and corporations. Check out the bluewatersecurityprofessionals.com to see their interesting selection of GPS devices and the complete selection of security services they provide.

Last week, our desktop was acting up and the windows didn't load properly. Dear hubby said, maybe it's time to get a new one. Few months ago, I really wanted to buy a new DSLR but he hinted that he's been planning to buy a new stuff for me. I guess he was talking about the HP Pavilion dv6-3013cl Entertainment Notebook PC. No wonder he just smiled every time I mentioned about the DSLR thing.

Last Monday, June 28th, we decided to go to the computer store and purchased my new laptop. I was supposed to get the Dell laptop but decided to get the HP Pavilion dv6-3013cl Entertainment Notebook PC instead since it has a bigger screen.

I talked to my friend and I did not expect her to be an IT expert. I still remember when we were in College, she hates computer so much. Through internet I found her via face book and from then on we get along again. I was amazed with what she told me about her accomplishment. And guess where she got her certificate? Well, it’s all because of the cbt planet which she extremely happy for what she got. An online training IT provider with much wider selection of courses with different formats. IT professionals can quickly prepare for the highly regarded Microsoft Certified IT Professional certification by attending a certification boot camp.

CBT Planet provides all kinds of learning by your own choice. Like distance learning, e-learning, self paced video training which helps a lot for individuals like my old friend. This video helps her understand every step of her course till she got the certificate and become a certified I.T consultant. Now she’s currently employed in a big company somewhere in Asia. Even computer based training, enterprise learning management systems and onsite training as well. My friend didn’t also expect that she will be successful in the area of Information Technology. I am happy for her. For those of you who are looking for an IT specialist, this might help you and bring you to the top.
