I must admit. I used to be a pessimist when it came to network marketing. In my mind, all profits may only be derived using the usual, conventional model of businesses—with goods and services sold via brick and mortar outlets. This notion was further reinforced with the negative publicity gained by networking firms in my homeland, the Philippines. Year after year, our country was bombarded by news of networking scams and people losing money. What a sad picture indeed.

But my view changed when I embraced my work from home set-up, where a large part of my income is derived from a home based business network marketing “career”. For the uninformed, network marketing is a method of marketing goods and services utilizing independent representatives to reach potential customers that a company would otherwise not reach with traditional online or offline marketing methods.

Truth be told, my friends are already reaping the benefits of this set up. Because of this, I have long wiped the frown off my face when encountering the concept of network marketing. And I am thoroughly convinced to have my sites become channels for Network Marketing as well. What is good about it is that I know that I will not be the only one gaining from it. I get rewarded, the people I recruit will get rewarded, the people they recruit will also get rewarded, and so on and so forth. It is a business where people work together for mutual success. It’s been awhile since I talked to my cousin’s wife on the phone. The last time I talk to her, she mentioned she really wanted to come over here in the United States to work as a CPA or Certified Public Account.
