To have a house made of hardwood is cozy instead of having it made of concrete. It is also cooler as the heat bounces off or gets absorbed by the hardwood.
Almost any place in the house can be built with hardwood as basic material. Almost any place only because the bathroom is not one of them or any other room that has water most of the time like the washroom or laundry room. With these watery rooms, you really have to use concrete, otherwise, your hardwood will rot sooner than later.
The living room will be great with Hardwood flooring. Even if you sit on the floor, it will just be cool. An area rug in the middle will be fine too. The bedroom is another place for something like Bruce hardwood floors but if you want to have Shaw carpet instead, then it will also be fine since it is the bedroom anyway.
The reception area will be good with hardwood also but not with carpet as it will only give you headache cleaning earlier than you should especially during rainy days.
