I watched the news today and the Philippines witnessed a partial solar eclipse on July 22, 2009. According to the news, the Solar Eclipse of July 22, 2009 was the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century, lasting as much as 6 minutes and 39 seconds in some places. It caused tourist interest in eastern China, India and Nepal. Solar Eclipse was visible through the Northern Maldives, Northern India, Eastern Nepal, Northern Bangladesh, Bhutan, Morthern Philippines, the northern tip of Myanmar, central China and the Pacific Ocean, including the Ryukyu Islands, Marshall Islands and Kiribati.
