I was watching the news on TV today and found out that Typhoon Feria signal number 1 over Metro Manila. Preschoolers in Metro Manila will have no classes on Wednesday after weather bureau PAGASA hoisted Storm Signal No. 1 over the National Capital Region due to tropical storm Feria. Weather forecasters said the storm has made landfall in Borongan, Eastern Samar Tuesday afternoon and is moving at a west northwest direction at 22 kph. PAGASA director Prisco Nilo said he is leaving it up to the Department of Education to suspend classes if weather conditions worsen. As of 4 p.m. yesterday, storm warning signal No. 2 was raised over Masbate, Ticao Island, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines provinces, Catanduanes, Marinduque, Romblon, Burias Island, southern Quezon, Samar provinces, Leyte provinces, Biliran, northern Iloilo, northern Negros, northern Cebu and Aklan. Feria is expected to leave the Philippines during the weekend. Extra ingat lang talaga lalo na sa mga tao na malapit sa flood zone areas. Labels: News |
