I'm so happy right now. Our phone is finally back. Some of you probably knew that we're using Vonage for almost 2 years but it's giving us a headache for the past few months. It's been acting up a lot, no "dial tone" and all that. We had this problem for quite some time now, probably 6th times already. I tried to convince my dear hubby that it might have something to do with the cord. I went to Vonage website and did the same thing as suggested in their FAQ. I unplugged the cord, waited for at least 1 hour and nothing happened. So dear hubby got tired of it and finally gave up on Vonage. Today, the guy from Verizon came to fix the phone. We're officially back to Verizon now! Verizon is a little bit expensive compared to Vonage but it's way way much better when it comes to service, reliability, and customer support! We have Vonage as well (well now you have Verizon.) I would say we've had the power outage gig -- no dial tone -- at least twice now in having the service for about a year. I think both times it was Comcast's fault, since if you have no internet access you have no phone line.
That sucks, and as soon as the Comcast internet problem was solved, our phone problem was solved.
So far, we've had smooth sailing. But every time Comcast upgrades in our neighborhood we have problems.
I definitely do not think Comcast is "Comcastic" as their commercials state.
Sorry, I didn't mean to get up on a soapbox. Leaving now...
